Y4 have been lighting up the dark days of Autumn with some excellent and exciting work this week.
We began our Science topic with a quick assessment about the subject of electricity. Although many children seem to be bright sparks, we still have plenty of exciting things to teach them. The theme of light linked into our RE lesson about Diwali, when we learned about how Rama and Sita found their pathway home lit up with diva lamps.
Matthew and Vicki (visiting expert History and English teachers), have been working with us to develop our understanding of the Roman way of life, and to help us to get ready for battle with Miss Kelly’s class of Celts and Mrs Potter’s druids. During these sessions we have been totally amazed with Edward’s extensive knowledge of all aspects of the Roman Empire.
In our Assembly, at 9:00 am on Wednesday, we will be sharing how we have prepared for victory. Please try to attend and lend us your support.
Zain is our Lexia Legend with a score of 60 units, and the Sumdog Superstars are Ethan and Zain for the most maths minutes.
Learner of the Week is Faheem. He sets a great example to everyone, and continually demonstrates high levels of ability in all 4 learning behaviours. Faheem succeeds in every lesson due to his ability to reflect, his resourcefulness, his resilience and through his mature understanding of how to create effective working relationships with his peers. We’ve decided to promote him to the rank of Centurion.
Homework is posted on Google Classroom. If you have any trouble connecting please let us know.
Odd Socks Days is Thursday (in support of Anti Bullying Week), and we will be marking Children In Need on Friday by wearing pyjamas.
Have a great weekend
